Ica Techniques Applied to Sar Interferometry

چکیده

This paper deals with the validation of Blind Source Separation techniques for an automatic elimination of effects due to atmospheric fluctuations and microclimates or any other spurious artifact eventually present in SAR interferograms. Specifically, an Independent Component Analysis algorithm (the FastICA) is applied on arrays of ERS-1/ERS-2 interferograms and the results are shown for mountainous areas of Southern Italy. The characteristics of the extracted independent components are illustrated. Starting from observational recurrences, the deduction of the criteria for identifying the topographical and atmospheric sources is illustrated. Some validations for these criteria are provided by comparisons with standard DEM (Digital Elevation Model).

ON THE APPLICATION OF ICA TECHNIQUES ON PolInSAR

The applicability of Independent Component Analysis techniques has been verified using arrays of ERS InSAR interferograms. These interferograms correspond to different acquisition times, so that they contain different atmospheric, different terrain displacements/changes and spurious artifacts. In consequence, the only component that is completely extracted is the topography (defined to be const...

European Organization for Experimental Photogrammetric Research OEEPE workshop on Airborne Laserscanning and Interferometric SAR for Detailed Digital Elevation Models

This contribution presents the different processes applied to a wide area DEM (DigitalElevations Model) in a region in the South of Venezuela, that was obtained by means ofsingle-pass airborne SAR interferometry. Taking into account the well-known SARtechnology limitations, the applied SAR interferometric processing as well as the flightmission constraints, different filtering a...

SAR Interferometry, Bayesian inversion, Sarpol-e zahab earthquake, Fault source parameters

Abstract Earthquakes occur at teh border of teh plates and faults, causing financial and casual damages. Teh study of earthquakes and surface deformation is useful in understanding teh mechanism of earthquakes and managing teh risks and crises of earthquakes. A fault can be specified by its geometric source parameters. In Okada’s definition, these parameters are length, width, depth, strike, di...

Determination of the displacement rate of the Masouleh landslide for management of landslide risk by Radar Interferometry

One of the most common natural phenomena occurring in mountainous regions of the world is landslide which causes critical damages and is considered as a natural disaster.  Iran is a country which annually suffers from this disaster and its consequent damage of about 500 billion Rial. Over the last 15 years, an increasing number of researches have aimed to demonstrate the applicability of the im...

Evaluation of Insar Dem from High-resolution Spaceborne Sar Data

In recent years a new generation of high-resolution SAR satellites became operational like the Canadian Radarsat-2, the Italian Cosmo/Skymed, and the German TerraSAR-X systems. The spatial resolution of such devices achieves the meter domain or even below. Key products derived from remote sensing imagery are Digital Elevation Models (DEM). Based on SAR data various techniques can be applied for...
